Named and Forgotten
The Old World collapsed. What was rebuilt in its place is uneven and strange. Genetic laboratories alongside swords and medieval customs, advanced medicine hoarded by the New Nobility, and most of humanity is infertile.
It has been this way for 647 years.
Sova Vornhe has been holding her family together for years, four women, now three of them sick. She is the only one still standing. When the medicine they need proves impossible to buy, she has one path left. She takes the gamble and goes through the motions of selling her fertility, and she hopes to make a bargain with whoever buys it.
The bid that buys her fertility comes from a name nobody in that auction room has ever heard. House Ornheldath.
It has been silent for centuries, but it's last heir just broke that silence...
Named and Forgotten is a quiet and heavy story about the machinery of a bleak and brutal world, and the people who find warmth inside it anyway.

While She Sleeps
When Cole breaks into what he thinks is an empty apartment, he finds a woman barely alive. And it shocks him to his core. Cole has a complicated moral ledger, and one rule: don't get attached to anything you can't walk away from. He is doing very badly at this rule.
He does something he's never done before, he involves himself, and calls for help.
Hannah Stuart had been quietly disappearing for many years. After a relationship that slowly undid everything she'd built, she had run out of reasons to take up space. But after she returns from the hospital she notices small changes. Someone turned on the heater and continues to leaves notes around her tiny apartment. A small kitten named Lune arrives one morning with no explanation.
While She Sleeps is a slow, tender, occasionally disastrous story about two people who learned early that the world wasn't safe, and what happens when they accidentally become each other's exception.

The Weight of Small Things
Set in the brutal world of Named and Forgotten, where new nobility cling to crumbling bloodlines and the common people barely manage to survive.
Malth has spent ten years making herself invisible. Sickly, small, and easily overlooked, she asks for nothing. Just kindness, just peace. And receives neither.
Then a new stable hand arrives at the castle. Charming, likeable, the kind of man everyone trusts on instinct. He finds her when she cannot find herself. He is not just a stable hand. And he was not supposed to come back. But some things are worth the complication.
In a world that has forgotten what gentleness looks like, two people find each other in the worst possible place at the worst possible time.

A Beast at the Gate
Rosemary is a princess. A sophisticated, elegant, and entirely graceful princess, or so she'd like everyone to believe. When her father, thoroughly exhausted by the parade of square-jawed, serenade-happy princes cluttering up his courtyard, hires a minotaur as head of palace guard, Rosemary expects trouble.
What she didn't expect was to walk face-first into his chest, and somehow lose her heart in the collision.
Boraldo is very good at his job. He is considerably less good at noticing that the entire castle (staff, king included) is watching the princess fall apart over him.
But then some idiots touch something they really shouldn't have.
A cozy castle romance about terrible suitors, an oblivious himbo, a princess who is slightly less graceful than advertised, and the ancient evil that nobody had on their bingo card.

After Embelyon (a fan continuation)
All of the above is headcanon, written as a loving continuation of T'sais by Jack Vance, the third story in his 1950 collection The Dying Earth. None of it is canonical.
The dying Earth. A world so old the red sun is failing, the nights are long, and civilisations have risen and fallen so many times that their ruins have ruins. Magic exists but is finite, spells are scarce and sorcerers guard them jealously. The forest is dark and full of things that eat people. Deodands lurk. Ancient gods sleep in forgotten cities. The road is dangerous and the world is beautiful and nobody is under any illusion that it will last.
In a cottage at the edge of an old forest in the country of Ascolais live two people who found each other broken and have been whole ever since. T'sais, made not born, who learned to find beauty in a world she was made to find unbearable, and Etarr, who grew up beside the sea at Tenebrosa Bay and survived a curse and came out the other side clarified.
They have a daughter they found in the forest, a dog, and a girl who arrived with the road still on her. They have a garden with a difficult far corner that grows slowly.
The world keeps dying.
They keep living.
